Buying quiet luxury furniture, room by room
The Dana is a small, edited catalogue rather than an endless catalogue. Every sofa, bed, desk, rug and accent is chosen to sit together, so a velvet sectional in the living room shares a palette with the bouclé bench at the foot of the bed and the reeded oak desk in the office.
Start with the anchor piece: a sectional or upholstered bed sets the scale of the room. Layer a hand-tufted wool rug underneath it, then add one sculptural light and two or three accents in mixed textures, such as a Mongolian fur pillow, an alabaster object and a piece of framed art.

- Every product page lists full dimensions, materials and lead time. As a rule, leave 18 inches between a sofa and coffee table, keep at least the front legs of seating on the rug, and hang art so its centre sits at eye level.
