About this piece

The Orbit Glass Bubble Floor Lamp: Glass bubble floor lamp

The Orbit is a hand blown glass bubble floor lamp on a natural stone base, 63 inches tall with an integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to replace. Each glass bubble is blown individually and slightly different, which is what keeps a cluster of spheres from looking manufactured. Standing beside a low sectional it does two jobs at once: it adds the vertical height a deep sofa takes out of a room, and it gives you warm sculptural light in a corner where a table lamp has nowhere to sit.

How to style it

  • Place it at the outside end of a sectional, where the sofa arm meets the wall.
  • Keep the base clear of the rug edge so the stone sits flat and stable.
  • One sculptural light per seating area is plenty, let it be the only vertical.

Perfect for

  • Living room corners beside a sofa
  • Rooms with no ceiling fixture
  • Modern and contemporary interiors
  • Reading corners needing warm light
